ShoutSafe

ShoutSafe lets you easily contact friends and family when you are trekking, travelling or in a disaster.

ShoutSafe was conceived as a result of the 2004 Asian Tsunami. An employee of Blackwave was on vacation in Sri Lanka when the tsunami hit. He and his friends had been down on the coast just 2 days before. Fortunately they had traveled up into the mountains the day before the tsunami hit.

In the days after the tsunami most of his friends and family tried hard to get in touch with us. He spent a lot of time assuring them that he was OK. This gave him the idea of setting up a website for communicating with friends and family in the case of a disaster, incident or other major event, and so ShoutSafe was born.

ShoutSafe incorporates an online travel diary and itinerary, which allows friends and family to see where friends have been and are going.
